Fabric & Product Care

Understand your fabric

Kayati products are made in variety of richly crafted fabrics. Due to their wide range of crafting process different type of fabrics in general have unique tendencies to react under a certain wash type. For example hot or cold wash / hand or machine wash. Some come with shrinking quality which also seem tighter post wash, but they return to comfort when they further bond with the body. Some fabric are dyed with natural colours and have tendency to lose a very small percentage of the dye in a first wash. Such fabrics are required to get dry cleaned for the first wash. The true sign of original Handcrafted fabrics is that they do come with a unique quality of imperfections which is not present in machine made products. These qualities make them more precious as they bring ethnic richness. We make sure that the fabric type and details are mentioned on product page and also on it’s labels. It’s important to know the type of your chosen fabric to understand how to care for it. Please don’t forget to read about fabric type under the product info.
